Submitted by: Andrew from Chicago, Illinois
Yield: 4-6 servings
Preparation Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the meat, Merguez Seasoning, black garlic, Aleppo chile pepper flakes and oil. Mix thoroughly by hand until the ingredients are fully incorporated. Form mixture into patties, each roughly 3 inches in diameter.
Preheat gas or charcoal grill to medium heat. (around 400 degrees Fahrenheit)
Place burgers on grill, flipping once or twice during the cook. Grill for not more than 5 minutes per side, for medium-rare to medium cook levels. Adjust cooking time to achieve preferred center cook level.
When meat is done, the middle of each patty will be soft but supple to the touch.
Lightly toast your chosen bread. Add Merguez patty, onions and tomatoes, and your choice(s) of sauce. Serve and enjoy!
