Our Favorite Game Day Recipes
The Super Bowl is as much about food as it is about football. Ever wonder why so many non-sports fans suddenly show up to your viewing party? While football-shaped foods and epic snack stadiums are cute, we pulled together some staple recipes to get your head in the game.
Guacamole
There’s a reason why Americans eat over 200 million fresh avocados around the Super Bowl. The secret to any good guacamole recipe is using the freshest ingredients, and that goes for spices too. Our Pilsen Spicy Adobo Seasoning adds savory ground cumin, zesty Mexican oregano, and the right amount of heat from cayenne and crushed red pepper.
Hamburger Sliders
Guests love trying a little of everything, so keep the burgers bite-sized. We like our sliders seasoned with classic Back of the Yards Garlic Pepper Rub and some garlic pepper mayonnaise. Hamburgers are prime for spice customizing, so feel inspired to try new seasonings. Season with Extra Hot Cajun Seasoning and top with bleu cheese for a black ‘n bleu slider. Sprinkle Fajita Seasoning and finish with slices of grilled poblano peppers for Tex-Mex flair.

Chicken Wings
Football parties demand chicken wings. While this classic restaurant-style buffalo chicken recipe is sure to please we have a few other recommendations. Try these slow-cooked teriyaki wings for something tender and tangy. (Don't skimp on the ground ginger!) If you’re firing up the grill, leave ample space for the maple mesquite chicken wings recipe below—sweet, spicy, and oh so simple. All you need is a dozen wings and some Maple Mesquite Blend.

Homemade Chili
A pot of chili is essential for any football party. Serve the dish a la mode with onions, cheese, and cilantro, or make a build-your-own chili dog station for your guests to get creative. Kick up the heat with our extensive selection of chile peppers or keep it classic with our handcrafted Mild Chili Powder. You can even make quick nachos by baking a tray of tortilla chips topped with shredded cheese, then finish with your homemade chili and some pickled jalapeños.

Chips and Dip Platter
Technically we’re double dipping since guacamole is mentioned at the top...But! No game day party platter is complete without at least two dips, maybe five. The handcrafted blends at the spice house can turn yogurt or sour cream into a gourmet snack with a flick of the whisk. Chip Dip is our most popular blend for dips, followed by Garden Dill and Homestyle Ranch. Don't forget about 7-layer dip with Taco Seasoning!
